My Trip to the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, United Kingdom
Does your current/perspective school offer studying abroad program? (It’s definitely something to look into!) During my education I had the opportunity to enroll in Pivot Point Academy’s study abroad program and my destination-London, United Kingdom! This was my first time leaving the country and I couldn’t be more excited…and terrified. Pivot Point’s program consisted of a fully planned tripped that included all the major site seeing, a free day, and the most exciting part…education!
Even though I got to see St. Paul’s Cathedral, Parliament, The Tower of London, Big Ben, and all the royal palaces…I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some hair! We trained under Yolly ten Koppel at London’s Vidal Sasoon Academy!
Education: We learned advanced cutting techniques with slicing and razor sculpting soft increase layers and using graduated asymmetric lengths with increase layers. Styling techniques we learned were all over curls with a flatiron, forming finger waves with a vent brush and a blow dryer and creating mermaid texture with a round brush! The experience was life changing and the knowledge I walked away with was priceless.
