My Latest Beauty Secret: Spoolies

Clumpy mascara is never fun. I’ve been there, done that. And then I found the magic that is spoolies.

What are spoolies exactly? Basically, they’re mascara wands that are disposable (but if you wash them after each use with a brush cleaner, they can last for a week or so). They generally come in packs of 25-50 and on this site you can actually get a pack of 50 for under $8!

Now, I don’t use them in the way you’d think–to apply mascara. Rather, I use them to get rid of clumps in between coats. When it comes to my lashes, I probably use anywhere from 3-5 different mascaras each day (depending on what look I’m going for).

The key is to use mascaras that are created for different effects. I like to start off with a lengthening mascara, run the spoolie through my lashes, apply a volumizing mascara, run the spoolie through again, and keep on going with different formulas until I’m happy with the look.

The result is fabulous and you can easily make your lashes look gorgeous, thick and long sans clumps!
