Our state has been at the forefront of the massage revolution and thus many people throughout the country seek out Florida schools for their Massage Therapy training. In fact, to date we have trained students from 41 states and 5 foreign countries.
Students can complete our training program which has been approved by the Florida Department of Health - at our school which is licensed by the Florida Department of Education, in as little as 17 weeks. We offer both day and evening classes, which meet Monday through Friday plus a part-time program. And, new classes begin every 8-10 weeks!
Skin Care Program

Our up-to-the-minute program is structured to provide our students with the very latest information on the skin - and its care - and to train them how to perform the latest, most in demand procedures and services. As well as the training to receive your license as an Esthetician - Facial Specialist, students who complete this program receive a certification in Microdermabrasion, a certification in LED and a makeup applications certificate. In addition, students complete the training required to also receive their License as a Body Wrapper in the State of Florida. Over the past several years, there has been a proliferation of establishments, both locally and nationally, offering skin care treatments and services. People trained to provide the specialized services of this profession are generally called Estheticians. Another indication of Skin Care's new prominence was when the State of Florida required HMOs to allow their members five visits annually to a Dermatologist without a referral from their primary care physician. And, Dermatologists devote ever increasing portions of their practice to spa-like services and the sale of skin care products. Additionally, today nearly every area cosmetic/plastic surgeon has added some type of skin care treatment regime to their surgery practice. There is indeed science coupled with art in this exciting and exploding new field.
Our school is equipped with the newest - most modern equipment on the market, including High Frequency, Galvanic and Micro-Dermabrasion machines to provide hands-on training of electronic therapy treatments, as found in the most prestigious and up-to-date spas, salons and medical offices.
Electrolysis Training
Florida Academy of Massage & Skin Care is pleased to announce that we have decided to add Electrolysis Training into our school curriculum. Electrolysis should be a perfect compliment to the Esthetics Skin Care and Massage training we already offer.
Training can be completed in less than 13 weeks! Successful completion of this 320 hour program can lead to a "Laser Hair Removal Certification" with only 30 hours of additional training. Only 9 students are accepted per class
