After finishing your training, you are required to pass a licensing exam issue by the Idaho State Board of Cosmetology. Once passing you will receive your Idaho cosmetology license. NAIL TECHNICIAN: 400 Hours, apprenticeship 800 hours

Must be at least 16 1/2 years of age, of good moral character, and have completed two years of High School or its equivalent.
Question: How do I transfer my license from another state?
Answer: Granted to licensed applicants who provide official documentation that the requirements for license under which the license was issued are of a standard not lower than Idaho OR who provide official documentation that they have practiced for at least three (
3) years immediately prior to making application. Home salons are allowed. Mobile salons are not allowed .
