In order to obtain a license in cosmetology, barbering or esthetics, or nail technology in the state of Washington, students must complete the requirements listed below. When getting a Washington cosmetology license, there really is no incorrect way to go about training as long as you have completed your coursework at a Washington cosmetology school.
As stated by the Washington (WA) State Board of Cosmetology, to get a WA cosmetology license, one must have attended a Washington cosmetology school or when transferring into the state, the Washington State Board of Cosmetology, requires you to meet their guidelines. After finishing your training, you are required to pass a licensing exam issue by the Washington State Board of Cosmetology. Once passing you will receive your Washington cosmetology license.
